Where Are the People of Color in Children’s Books?

In case you missed Walter Dean Myers's op-ed in the Sunday NY Times a couple months ago, it's right here.  Myers questions where racial diversity is in children's books.  He writes, "Books transmit values.  They explore our common humanity.  What is the message when some children are not represented in those books?"

Food for thought.
